OBS is the BEST camp i had attended so far and i'm sure the memories that i had with AMUNDSEN Watch will be kept deep down inside my heart forever.

DAY 1 :
All of us are separated into 2 watches
AMUNDSEN!! and Cook (:

22 october - 26 october 2007
we called ourselves MAMASANS :P
stayed in camp 2 for 3 nights and camp 1 for 1 night !!!
personally, i LOVE being with each and everyone of us in Amundsen and without anyone of us mamasans will be will lacking of something!

Amundsen consist of
Tabitha, Klara, Pei lin, Yu'en, Julianne, Sofia, Michelle S, Ramizah, Grace, Rachel G, Felica, Sze-ern, Wei liang, Bryan, Jeremy and Me (:
last but not least our instructor: Bibiana Koh!! :DDD (she's the best instructor ever)
without her we won't go this far!

well, so we did some admin stuff before the start of our day with the activities
all of us are given at least a role :DD
day one i/c : Bryan and Jeremy
day two i/c : Klara and Tabitha
day three i/c : Yu'en and Grace
day four i/c : Sze-ern and Me
day five i/c : Wei Liang and Rachel G
beside the day i/c we had
fun i/c : Sze-ern and Julianne,
food i/c : Ramizah and Michelle,
store i/c : Pei lin and Me,
first aid i/c : Grace and Tabitha
time i/c : Felicia and Sofia
fishing i/c : Jeremy Tan!(he ask me to blog about this):D
did i miss out any i/c ?!?!

learned how to capsize once everything was done(:
Ramizah and me were the first few to capsize and our rescuer were Bryan and Michelle (:
after which we swopped over
they capsized and we rescued them :D
we did a great job (:
well done Bryan and Michelle!(mamasans sound familiar??)
Bibi taught us how to pitched our tent and we had to sleep in the tent for all the four nights :P
sound so miserable but we got used to the enviroment!
outdoor cooking was a successful and heartwarming one
although it was raining, but we built our shelter and con't with our outdoor cooking (:
thanks guys for building the tarp shelter!
the instructor were impress by our unity :DD
all of us stayed under the tarp to cook/eat blah blah blah
ate rice or rather porridge but it tasted awesome!
we can feel the unity as well!!!
that is a feeling i never had before in council and i never knew that council is actually so bonded!
we didnt sleep in the tent as it was raining heavily so we went into shelter, where the boys slept in the MPH and girls at block 7 :D
although we had shelter but the condition wasnt good as we just spread out our ponchos and slept on the floor, we still prefer sleeping in the tent
it was damn cold las and there were insects climbing all over my legs in the middle of the night!
ohh ya and our buddy watches were Cook and Junko!this means that we will do most of our activities together!

DAY 2 :
did morning PT and it was tiring and dirty!we did trust fall and its was a good want!i didn't have confident in myself at first but with their encouragement and motovaing(hahaha) me i managed to make it.thanks mamasans!
learnt how to belay people and i love to be belayer!
although its hard and we need to use lots of energy pulling the rope in the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock direction but its fun (:
pitched our tent again near the high element area in camp 2
and guess what we were so good at it that we finish pitching our tent in 10mins!
fast right?!?
its time for high element!!! ramizah and me made it to the top (:
it was hard but with our long legs we manage to do it fast :D
but of course we must thank our belayer that did a great job!
teambuilding games were enjoyable!
we were leading all the way but we didnt managed to win :D
and there is a inside secret for mamasans (: [right?]
well nevermind overall we did a fantastic job!!!

here is how our cheer goes;
who dares to mess with us will be siew mai,

ma ma ma ma ma, ma ma ma ma ma, ma ma ma ma ma

but of course beside this we did lots of action! :DDDD

outdoor cooking again,
this time round we had maggie meeeee with campbell soup(:
was rather a successful one again!
bathe and we had a briefing on the cross island expedition
slept and the condition is 100% better than the previous one :]

DAY 3 :
had to get all our stuff ready by 0630am
and we woke up at like 4am to get everything done!
set of at around 7 plus and we had to kayak across the island(?)
it was seriously a tiring one!
we were estimated to reach camp 1 at 4 plus
but we were 2 hours eariler and reached at 2.15pm and guess wat we were kayaking against the wind and tides las!
good job campers and of course our Sea Ex leaders!!!!!
Bryan and Grace were the sea ex leader from amundsen :D
oh ya i almost forget about the jellyfish!
its so cute las and the texture is seriuosly like jelly las(duh)
it made me feel like eating jelly for that moment :P

pitched our tent again and this time round, it was so much harder with all the rock under it!
but we still manage to make it :D
NO outdoor cooking and we had home cooked food!(like finally)
MAMASANS and Cook sang Bryan the birthday song in advance and he was given an ice cream!
PS: Bryan touched??touched??
did our night walk and guess what we are suppose to walk alone!
was scary at first but when our eyes got used to the dark its fine already!
an awesome night walk! :]
oh ya and we saw fireflys(: coool mann!
our evening circle was a good one and we really open ourselves up and speck out whats on our mind.
we slept near the high element area in camp 1 and it was uncomfortable becos of the rocks!but we still pull our way thru :)

DAY 4 :
Kayak back to Camp 2, this time round we needed less than an hour to reach camp 2 (:
did jetty jump and it was a good one
i wasnt scared at all :DDDDD
and we really enjoy it!
washed our ponchos, kayaks, pitched out tent...
i washed the ponchos with jeremy and michelle
had a funnn time there crapping and that jeremy kept on splashing water at us but of cos i did my revenge(:
evil laughter!
bathe, lunched and packed the stuff that was needed for land expedition!
walk around Ubin and we really walked very very slowly as we were super duper tired!
we manage to find all the checkpoint and reach the highest point in Ubin: :D
goood job guys!
we saw wildpigs(all thanks to bryan for the wildpigs)on our way back to campside
but we were supposed to do some activity and we didnt manage to make it for the last one which was standing in circle throwing stone towards our right and the person next to you was suppose to catch it!we were disappointed as we know we can make it but because we didnt put our 110% into it that we failed!
all of us can see that Bibi was disappointed with us and we don't want to leave OBS with regret and so we skip outdoor cooking for dinner and just have bread to practice again and also have our own night circles without Bibi to talk!
it was rather an emotional one!
most of us cried and i did cried as well DDD:
PS : weiliang you really did a good job! and we are really proud of you!
then we had our night circles with bibi :D
and there we go again

slept by the beach this time and it was a great night rest!

DAY 5 :
unpitched our tent and ohmygoshh i almost squeezed a lizard to its death
and because of that stupid lizard, i shouted early in the morning 5 plus when the rest of the campers were still sound asleep!HAHAHA
packed and clean our store up and we had to pay $1.60 for losing all 4 knifes!
did our finally/last morning circles and it was again an emotional one !
i cried again -.-
we agree that we really learned a lot in this camp and we learn a lot from bibi
she is indeed a great and well trained instructor that i can never forget!
thanks for being with us for the last five days four nights and taking good care of us.without BIBIANA we won't be back here save and sound :DDD
bought our OBS souveniers and group photos yadayada.

went back to school to collect out report card and i manage to be promoted to secondary 4 NA thru train class and i'm going to accept the offer :DD
well, bookworm, here i come next year!
